Looking in your document 's rfactor folder How to fix annoying head shake in rfactor?Ģ - Allows you to view Cockpit View with 3 mirrors Recently I did a full reinstall so as I do upgrades and tweaks to my game I will list my upgrades and findings. So with my mediocre skills and some searching I will attempt to make a data base of changes you can make easily to your own game. It was men acting like silly boys, deleing post that were there for many years holding valued info to the modder, future modder and users of rfactor. One of biggest lose of raw data and compiling of information after constant bickering on racesimcentral forums. It's getting harder and harder to race at places like Hockenheimring, Suzuka, and Zolder. One of first things you will want to do when you begin to set up rfactor is think how do I? Or Where do I find?īelow I will document those questions I came across, more of this info is readily available in 2012 but in 2005 not so much. As far as driving perspectives go, Slightly Mad Studios appears to be the only one with an apex-tracking helmet view in Shift 2 / Project Cars although similarly to racing wheels, you can pretty easily adapt immersion peripherals such as TrackIR or an Occulus to most games.Īside from tracks like Spa, Silverstone / Donnington, and Mount Panorama, every other racing game seems to go different directions with their circuit selection (unless you pay for iRacing). If you're looking for something that isn't Forza, then you'd probably mod the heck out of rFactor 1/2 or Raceroom experience Any of the Codemasters games, while arcadey at times and limited in customization, are still loads of fun (though avoid F1 unless you're really into single seaters). I'm in the same boat in that Shift 2, despite having a bespoke engine and 2011 graphics, is still a pretty solid game if you want endurance racing and a variety of cars (plus works packages for popular classes like GT3 and Super GT). Grid 1, I like it,Grid 2 too arcady, Grid autosport it was okay until the point the muscle cars seemed too undergrip. Race 07 and Race WTCC I had them they are amazing sims much of the cars from here are ported to rFactorĪlso, be aware that those games I've listed are racing sims, so they'll depart from the arcade-like gameplay Shift 1 and 2 have. Simbin - pretty old games (Race 07, GT Legends) but they have a good amount of cars to choose from. There's also future cars the devs will add (e.g. RFactor 2 - much better looker, but doesn't have a lot of mods yetĪssetto Corsa - Not as big as Shift 1 and 2 but can be expanded with mods. There's some that aren't very good and some that are dead-on perfect (CART Factor) But it has the most expansive mods for a racing sim. RFactor - a decade-old game, so it isn't a looker. There's rFactor 1 and 2, Assetto Corsa, and Simbin's stuff.
